Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Can anyone tell me..What's the CHEAPEST card should i look if i wanna run
BF2 in all high settings.. (Certain settings in medium also acceptable)..AGP slot..ATI or NVIDIA
My rig...
Pentium 4 2.6
1g PC3200
ATI 9550 256/128
Seagate 5200 RPM
It would be a very good idea to get 2GB of ram aswell, but it's not a definit "need". I'm running everything on High with around 50-70 FPS and this is only with 1GB of ram. I'll be buying 2x1024 very soon. With 1GB of ram and every setting on High will make the game extremely laggy in the beginning of the game and further ahead in the game.
Like everyone is saying, I would go with the 6800GS. The guys at Anandtech just had a review of 4 6800GS's and they said it has no problem with BF2...
"We tested Battlefield 2 with the 1.03 patch and our own custom demo. The demo makes use of multiple vehicles and is very heavy on the GPU. Our tests were performed with all the settings on high and 4xAA enabled.
The good news is that it is almost playable at 1600x1200 with 4xAA enabled. Performance of the stock speed 6800 GS (same as the Evertop out-of-box speed) is much better than that of the X800 GTO without any overclocking or unlocking done to it. This game performs very nicely at 1280x1024 and is more than playable at 1600x1200 without AA enabled."

If you look, the eVGA card is clocked higher, thus its more money. But if you look at the reviews for the BFG Tech card, you will notice that someone OCed it out of the box to get a higher speeds than the eVGA card. If you don't want to OC though, I'd say throw in the extra $20 to get the already higher clocked, eVGA card.
I know everyone else is saying to get the 6800GS, but I personally think that a 6600GT should be enough. With a 6600GT and 2 Gigs RAM (not to mention a FX-55-like processor) I get ~45 on BF2 on 1280x1024, 4xAA, 4xAF, all HIGH settings.
Thanks a lot guys.. Now I'm confused to choose the 6600 GT or 6800 GS.. Coz of my tight budget.. im gonna go for 6600 GT.. Flanker and Sir. MatDef had convinced me enough... By the way.. i wanna ask something.. If i change the settings (for example, in ATI Catalyst control center) did it effects in-game graphics.. or should i leave it to default settings?? Thanks a lot guys..
Nothing, before you get it think about it. Flanker has 2 gigs of ram, a processer overclocked to 2.7ghz!!!! AND he also overclocked the graphics card istelf. First of all, if you do get the 6600gt, make sure you have two gigs of ram. Because with only one gig and a 6600gt you wont be able to max out or go to high. I would still say go with the 6800gs but w/e...
If i change the settings (for example, in ATI Catalyst control center) did it effects in-game graphics.. or should i leave it to default settings?? Thanks a lot guys..
