    Best LCD for games.

Hey there guys, I recently just got a new NEC 90GX2 19 inch monitor, which was at first the best I had ever seen, but have recently discovered it has very poor colour blending(lots of banding) due to it being a TN+FILM lcd and having only 6 bits of color per pixel, which is very apparent in my ironsights, and any dark surfaces. It also seems to have trouble in general blending dark colours(most apparent in Doom 3).

Now I was just looking for some imput on a similarly priced LCD, with a response time preferably below 12 ms, brightness at 300cd/m2(preferably 400) and supports true 24bit(16.7 milllion) color, unlike the GX2.

I was recommended the HP f1905b by someone on another forum, if anyone has had any experience with this monitor, I'd be glad to hear some feedback.

Yes I've read quite a bit about Dell, and there ever popular 1905fp and the 2405fpw. Would the 1905fp be the one you recommend. I was also wondering does that HP f1905b I mentioned use the same panel as the Dell 1905fp, or is that simply a coincidence with the product numbers.

The second one has a lower response time, better contrast ratio, and is brighter.

View sonic! They have great customer support, if you ever need it.

I bought a view sonic CRT, on sale, and it went bad in 6 weeks. I was prepared to get the run around when I called them, But guess what. The person I talked to on the phone asked me about 3 questions, and said it must have been defective. We dont make that monitor any more, discontinued. However, we are gonna over night you the next model up. When Fed Ex brings it unpack the new one put the old one in the same box and the Fed Ex guy will take it. To my suprise (I called on Monday) on Wednesday afternoon Fed ex guy came and it was just like I was told, and guess how much extra it cost?. . . . .Zero . . .Nodda. . . . So buy the View Sonic. . . . .Red

                    Anyone have any Ideas on a wide screen monitor? How big? 21 inches. . .? 26 inches. . . .? 19 inches. . . .?

It's exspensive I know, but you truely get a quality LCD if you buy Sony's.

I bought mine for 560$ and ohh my, the colours and everything is amazing.

Cheap solution: Dell. Exspensive solution: Sony.
