Hey everyone...
Recently a large electrical storm hit my area while I was playing BF2. I heard thunder off in the distance but didn't think much of it. All of a sudden BOOM!!!!! My house was hit by lightning. My monitor turned purple, green, and just about every other color on the color wheel. My BF2 crashed and I couldn't even move the mouse or anything. I quickly kicked the off button as fast as possible and waited 10 min. or so. I turned it back on and everything was back to normal except, I no longer have sound. The sound is built onto my motherboard. (MOBO: Intel D845EBT) Is the sound hardware on my motherboard completely fried? I'm not sure why this should happen since I have a surge protector, and everything else works perfectly fine.
