Help me with my logitech mx1000

Ok i've been using my new logitech mx1000 mouse most of the day now and Iam trying to get adjusted to it but i cant seem to maybe i need to give it more time, iam also using the icemat 2nd edition mousepad, I game'd with both a bit with it and i think the persission is pritty good, i got quite a few headshots more then normally. If your wondering i came from a old logitech wireless optical mouse that came with a keyboard, I think it was called a logitech wireless deo or something, im trying to get the hang of this mouse, also when i move the mouse towards me my fleshy part of my hand kinda gets wedged with the mouse and mousepad, iam not sure if i should have my whole hand on the mousepad or just like half of the hand and have the other half hanging off the edge of the desk. another thing my pinky being strait while iam using the mouse it kinda starts to feal funky, it wants to be like bent insted of strait. Maybe all these questions are stupid questions i dont know, hopefully someone can relate and give me some pointers. Thanks.

With the pinky thing, I had that too when I got my MX1000, but you will get used to it very soon. With the mousepad, its fine to keep the whole hand on it, i think the part about getting your hand wedged has something to do with the mousepad since that never happens to me.

Don't worry, you will get used to it very soon and love it. Ive had mine for over a year and I feel like I never wanna use another mouse ever again.

Don't use a mouse pad, you'll get better performance from a flat shiny surface.

I prefer my mousepad over my smooth desktop any day.
