            Re: X1900 Released!

Eddy: I think you are confusing the two AA methods ATI has now. I also have an x800xl and we do not get ADAA, only Temporal AA.

Like he said, ADAA is ATI's version of nVidias new AA method, called MSAA(multi sampling anti-A).

Also, you realize using Temproal AA in BF2 might not be such a good idea with its framerates fluctuating as much as they do from land to plane vehicles.

When the framerate dips below a specific level, the Temporal AA shuts down and reverts back to the regular level of AA you have selected.
In other words if you use 2xTAA and you fps goes below 60, it turns into regular 2xAA until the fps goes back over 60.

Has anyone found the Crossfire Benchies yet??? Or has anyone thought of trying to buy the x1900 CE? I would love to see the difference between the 7800 GTX 512 and the x1900 when they are in SLI/CrossFire.

Not a fanboy, but you are clearly not running the same settings.

Gotta love those fanboy comparisons comparing (256mb) 7800GTX's to the 1900 XTX. In all fairness the 1900 XTX does beat the 512 7800GTX in some games, but the 7900 GTX should comfortably beat the 1900 XTX.

Anyone spending $650 on a graphics card in the next month should at least wait to see what the availability of the 7900 GTX is gonna be like.

How am i a fanboy? His card would own mine in 3dmark and most other games. Ive had an 3DFX voodoo 2, nvidia geforce 2, ati radeon 9800 pro and now my 7800GTX, i just try and buy one of the best cards availiable at the time, keep it until it struggles playing games on low and then upgrade. I'm not bothered about always being able to play all high. I wouldn't have bought my GTX if my 9800 pro hadn't melted due to the fan breaking and me not noticing.

And ram isn't the be all and end all. A lot is down to the chipsets now.

                              There we go, all high.
                              And it still beats it
