Getting a new vid card

Hey as you can see i have a 9550 256MB at the moment, i was looking at the new video cards and i was wanting a enw one without going over to PCI-e (i put that in bold as a lot of people always seem to miss that point). Anyway, i know that with the AGP you can get up to the x800 or x850's in ATI and the 6800GT in Nvidia. So i was looking around and was wondering if you guys thought this was a good deal.

I was thinking of getrting a whole new system, but it would cost me $5000 plus to get a new CPU.. etc etc.. so i dint think it was worth it when this one is working fine.

the XT = not really good. you should get a 6800 vanilla or GT with 256mb memory. trust me, if your gonna spend money to upgrade go with 256mb, trust me. getting a whole new system would be the best choice but, yeah the 6800 series rocks. the Xt, not so good and 128mb, not so good either.

As Sacky said, get the card with 256 mb. The 850 xt or 6800 gt are both fine choices. Some motherboards have had problems and need patches/updates to properly run the 850 xt. I just got an 6800 get and really like it. Also, make sure you have an adequate power supply, at least 450 watts.
