should i upgrade the total memory to 2gb?

it is actually doing fine with 1 gb, with x16 AF and AA tuning off @ 1280x1024. i have no idea about what the exact fps is like, cos' i don't know how to get that. anyway, however, when i switch AA to x4 or even x2. the game would be freezed for a few minutes. of course, i know the problem would be solved if i lower the the resolution down to 1024x768, but, u know, i think that higher resolution really makes a difference in the game. i am wondering is it gonna enable me to switch AA bace on with the extra 1 gb, or it is never gonna happen for X800GTO regardless the total capability of memory?

my pc's spec is:

Pentium D 830
Asus P5WD2/premium
Corsair® 1024MB TwinX XMS 5400 DDR2
80 GB Seagate Barracuda® SATA 7200rpm
Sapphire ATI Radeon X800GTO 256MB DDR3 Ultimate

The freezing is caused by a lack of physical ram. Get more ram.

Be careful though, some boards sh!t the bed with 2gb of ram. Even though they are able to hold up to 4gb.
