    Best gaming mouse

I currently have a Microsoft wireless inteli mouse. I've always been aware that it's not as accurate as I would like. So now I'm looking around for a replacment. It needs to be wireless & it would be nice if I could recharge it. The only problem with this is it leaves me with the new logitech G7. Are there any other alternatives that don't cost £60?

    thx

I wholeheartedly recommend the Logitech MX1000.

      -10 configureable buttons
      -wireless with no noticeable lag
      -nice dpi
      -rechargeable (comes with recharging cradle)
      -LEDs indicate recharge level
-feels very nice in your hand
-has a decent weight to it

There have been a lot of instant and mail-in rebates going around for this mouse right now.

MX1000 looks like the way forward, I'm based in the UK so prices are around £35.

I just got the Logitec G5 a few weeks ago. It is laser rather than optical but mine is the corded (not cordless) model. It has 8 (I think) customizable buttons and I've gotten pretty addicted to it's shape, weight and feel. This mouse rocks! You can adjust the sensitivity on the fly so if you want it to respond drastically like when flying a plane and turning very hard you can do it or you can adjust it to not be very sensitive at all like if you are sniping and want to shift your site just a hair. Especially in the sniper example I found myself over-adjusting my scope because my plain old MS Intellimouse would "jump" around too much.

I also tried the Razor Copperhead mouse. It had same specs as Logitech (2000 dpi, etc), had more RAM and was featured in Popular Science or some such mag like that as the "future mouse" bla bla. I thought it was nice but the shape and where the buttons were was a terrible design.

The marketing hype claiming your sniping accuracy or how quick you can fire off rockets in a helo will be like night and day...well, bulls----. Yes it is better but 90% of it is still the ability of the player. The new mouse makes gameplay a little smoother but I still suck at things I've always sucked at. Now it is easier to line up my snipe before I shoot (and miss as always).

Logitech G5 is definately the best gaming mouse, no doubt. I went from a MX700 to this and what a difference. No more charging and 100% accurate in games, great mouse.

The Razor Copperhead is an alternative for it, but that's a mather of taste, not much difference between both mice. Logitech stands for quality and that's a fact.

Also the adjusteble set of weights for the G5 is veyr handy to get a stable mouse which exactly fits your needs. Heavy or light mouse and the way it's balanced.

And don't go wireless, just a tip... I went from wireless to wired and even with the new techniques they promise, there is still a difference.

Got the MX1000 over the holidays. While I dont have any experience with the G7... The Mx1000 is pretty nice! The Pros have been posted higher.

I am pretty sure the G7 comes with two batteries.... All I can add to that is I have played some long sessions and not had to worry about switching batteris because I ran mine down. And it is a bit cheaper.

the MX1000 is great and i would recommend it to anyone. You actually dont need two batteries. Only an idiot who forgets to pop it into the docking station after use would.

The logitech sign on mine is wearing out :P

btw. You get the 2000dpi on the G7 and the 800dpi on the MX1000.
only someone with eagle eyes and bloody spider sense would be able to notice a difference. lol

the mx1000 is not the way forward it has old technology 800dpi and is more cheaply made than the g7 or mx series of logitech mouses

i would reccomend the g7 if you have £60 but its a lot just for a mouse

The japanese normally make the best products in the world. Very well made and they have a long life. mine is already a year old and no problems at all.

G5 all the way, wireless and gaming is wrong.

I will defenitly choose for the Logitech G5 Gaming Mouse!

It's so fast(2000 DPI!) and you can switch from the DPI amount.

It's also a nice mouse and there are weights in it! :P

What is the differents between the G5 and G7?

One thing I can see: The G7 looks more nice. :)
