I stumbled across this great website utility from System Requirements Lab. It's a webpage that lets you select a game from hundreds of titles, after which it'll analyze your PC and give you a report on how you can expect the game in question to run.

Yeah its good. Although occaisionally wrong. It said my old geforce 2 wouldn't run COD2 but it did

It's nice little tool but it says that I have the "ultimate" performance with BF2 which I don't get!

All it does it compares your specs to those considered 'minimum' and 'recommended' requirements posted on the game box, right?

Why does that test say that I have ATI WDM Specialized MVD Codec even thou I have X-FI installed and working?

Microsoft webpage has "Game Advisor" section that will et you list practically every game on the market... scans your specs and lets you know how you will perform... and how you compare to others who have checked.

Cambridge, where is this listed? After the "You have:" part, where mine (see the screenshot) says Creative SB X-Fi? Or in the Driver Version field?

It's says so in the YOU HAVE PART and YOUR DRIVERS. If I look up my audio devices from Control Panel and so on there is listed WDM Specialized Audio and Creative SB X-FI? Might this be an ATI related "issue"? Any ATI users with the same or similar card the same problem?

Hmmm, do you have two soundcards by any chance? Perhaps an on-board one? Or a USB headset?

I have a RealtekAC97 on mobo but I have disabled it and have never used any software/drivers considering it. I have a USB Headset but I have only used them once on this fresh install of my comp, would they use the WDM thing for audio so the computer just takes the first name from the list for that test?

Hmm, strange.. I really don't know. Go into Control Panel, Sounds & Sound Settings, and see what card is being used for input, output and voice. Are the X-Fi listed on all of them?

X-FI is in all of em, SB X-FI Audio [AC00]
