The funny thing is your 2.40Ghz Intel doesn't run as fast as my AMD 3500+ at 2.2Ghz, even overclocked.

You are only running 1.6volts, and the default for that CPU is 1.55volts. You need to crank up the volts to 1.65ish depending on your temps. Although that is a great overclock for a 2.4Ghz processor. It may just be maxing out.
