so i bought the logitech mx518 on january 3rd if i remember and i was amzed at how sharp and precise it was compared to my old mouse (thought that was pritty good)

anyway since i bought it i seem to be gettingmore kills and medals on bf2 at first thought it was maybe just a one off or something but there is a good improvement

a good gaming mouse is a must for any gamer and i would reccomend the mx518 to anyone hardware may improve the looks of the game but it doesnt improve how you can play unlike a good mouse

I've always wanted to get a gamer mouse but the prices have always scared me away.

I've used good old mouses with trackballs and so on. Now I have just a plain Microsoft Optical Mouse Wireless. Which isn't probably the best one for gaming but it does the job thought. I've looked some MX518 and Razor's similars but the prices are over 50€ and the MX1000 and G-series have teased me but their prices are too much. Cuz you can always get RAM stick for the same price or something else so I've never bought the thing.

Is it really worth of getting?

the razer is a little small and fiddly for a gaming mouse for me

And the MX1000 has 10 buttons if you enjoy wire-free gaming and more buttons

Well I have a 1gb RAM stick on my shopping list also so if I get some cash I would buy them both. Have to look out for these mouses in sales or something.

Man, they are SUPER cheap right now with both instant and mail-in rebates.

Once you've had 10 buttons and wireless freedom, you won't go back

Sorry..didn't mean to hiijack The MX518 DOES rock.

It's just that the MX1000 has been so dirt cheap lately ($60 here in Canada..compared to regular price of $110).

I have a razer diamondback plasma special edition.
Really good mouse, I like it better than mx series.

Yeah, I use the MX518. It's nice. The ability to change the mouse's DPI setting on the fly (via the +/- buttons by the wheel) comes in real handy sometimes, too. (High sensitivity for tank/APC driving [allows for rotating view really fast] and low sensitivity for pretty much everything else [helps remove the jigglies when aiming :p])

not over here $20 of your money more than the mx518 10 buttons a waste of time

plus the mx1000 is only 800 dpi comapred to 1600dp the mx 518 looks more quality being a mix of rubber and plastic and the paintwork is alos a nice add on

I bought an mx518 in nov. I love it! I got it for like 35 dollars off newegg. It works great in cs and I'm waiting to order all my pc parts and build it for bf2. Can't wait!!!
