My friend is buildin me a new computer and one of the parts i got i herd was pretty good its a:

Sapphire Radeon X800GTO2 PCI Express x16 Video Card, 256-bit 256MB GDDR3

i just wanted to know how good it was compared to my nVidia Geforce 5600, and if anyone has this video card could they show a scrnshot or too of wut the graphics are like in the game

keep with this one.. the gto2 is very, very rare and you can overclock it like a MADMAN so find somebody on a forum anywhere who's a good overclocker and ask him... graphics are great..

yes ive heard my friend that is buildin me my computer is overclocking that that and the motherboard too but i was just curious how good are the graphics are they better then a Nvidia 7800?

No. IMHO it's stupid to ask such a question, And I find it pointless for people asking for screenies regarding different cards and how the game will look.

Both cards are powerhorses, and can run the game maxed out. What will matter is the difference in frames you would be getting while maxed out. Heck, screenies with a 9800Pro maxed out would probably look the same as the 7800 with the same settings, but with a 90% performance decrease. A 7800GTX 512MB with everything on low may look like a 5700 at the same settings.

Only thing that May change is if the game uses SM3 (shadermodel3) or HDR, for example. A Geforce 4 definitely wouldn't support any of that, and thus, the game would look immensely different for sure.

What MAY change is image quality, such as jaggies and AF, but that is dependent on drivers as well.

hmm well it may sound like a stupid question to most but i just own at the games and i only know enough to own at them, not all this technical stuff like types of cards and overclockin. Like for example i now clue what framerate is, i do hear everyone talkin bout it though so it must be important..

To sum it up for you, all that matters is:

Higher = better/smoother/faster
Lower = worse/laggier/ slower

o ok i thought that had some other meanin when it applies to this, and what is this shadermodel3 and HDR and all that. The ATI supports this but the Geforce doesnt?

If you dont know anything about PC hardware, do NOT have you friend overclock ANYthing.

If it becomes unstable and you need to quickly revert settings, you will have no clue and chances are you will destroy your computer.

Either learn how to do it, or leave it alone.

o of course hes gonna teach me how to do all that, i wouldnt want to pay all this money for a tight PC and it fries, but i think their are enough fans that should keep it stable and im thinkin bout gettin a thermometer also to put inside bescause it sounds like hes gonna overclock everytrhing that can be overclocked

if you dont know about overclocking, dont mess with it, because you can fry your hardware like crazy and there goes a ton of cash.

Why do you want to overlock anyway. What are your system specs going to be comprised of?

I'm sure you wont need to overclock, So dont just do it because you can.

Well i needed a new PC but didnt have a bunch of money to spend on it so the things he is overclockin are good but can be better as far as preformance and for the video card to work at its best, if that explains what ur askin
