thank you for replying.

i have a creative audigy 2 zs that i got from a friend who upgraded to the fancy 500 dollar xfi.

i am using it for 5.1 surround sound home theatre system.

my receiver has 3 things that are plugged in, one cable for each of the following:

1. left and right speakers
2. center and subwoofer speakers
3.left surround and right surround speakers

that is a nice big picture of the card. i dont have the instruction manual, so could somebody please tell me which output is the left right speaker, which the center subwoofer, which the surround speakers.

thank you very much. i have tried switching em around but its very difficult without knowing which output is for which.

i have an audigy 2 and tried connecting my logitech surround speakers to it.. never figured out what I did wrong. I must've tried ALL the configurations possible but the only thing i got was normal stereo.

i tried changing the speaker settings as well, in the creative software, but that didn't help at all.

I'm hoping someone will shed some light on this =/

did you use the digital out? because it only outputs in stereo, ive confirmed that myth.

use the analog outs, but do you maybe know which one is which from an instruction manual?

cause i know im getting surround from the sounds i hear behind me and everything, just that ive got the outputs mixed up.

This may not be helpful but it is the setup I have and the speaker config ensures it is the correct set up.

Using the 3 holes closest to the firewire connection (Opposite of the digital) My cables are Orange / Black / Green (Orange being closest to the firewire connection) (I have no clue what the cable head colors mean... just how I had it on my old Audigy 2 plat... and when I switched to this card kept them in the same order.


I wish I could be better help, but my sub plugs into the card and my satelites plug into the sub. Is you use creative media source (Program for the card) you can select calibrate speakers along with test set up and it will tell you if you have the cables in correct, if it is a simple matter of left/right in the wrong slots... you can simply select swap channels in the set up.

well can anyone who has the creative audigy 2 zs maybe send me the THX console? its what i need to really configure my speakers, something could be wrong cause im getting messed up audio, even plugging them in the way they say i get no sub.
