Right now I have the built in 6channel nforce 4 audio. It works VERY VERY well in Bf2, and its 3d sound, I love it! But I head that getting a good sound card and putting sound renderer on hardware gives you higher FPS. Im thinking about getting an x-fi platinum edition? Worth it. I have Audio 90's right now, and Im thinking abouit getting some new speakers too, but for now, with my audio 90s? Worth it?

Re: sound card yay!
The new soundcards are only worth getting if you have a nice surround sound. If you don't have a nice surround sound, you won't see the benefit of a good sound card. It's like buying a Vette and only doing the speedlimit. Kinda pointless you know. But, yes the new sound cards are awesome and you should enjoy it with a good surround sound. Make sure you read up about the problems X-fi users have been having so you're not running into the same problems thinking there's no hope.

Well I wonder how you can say that the n-force 4 6channel integrated miracle works well with BF2!? I have a one of those as well and I recently bought a X-FI XtremeMusic, the fps didn't raise nearly at all but the sounds are awsome. There are many sounds that I hadn't even heard before!
When listening to music the difference isn't very big but noticiable. In games which support X-FI the change is huge but with other games the difference isn't much but yes you will notice it.
Like I had played HL2 with my other computer and it sounded quite nice with an Audigy 1. Then I started to play HL2 with my current comp and I had that integrated card the game sounded quite nice but it wasn't a very powerful audio experience as it was with Audigy 1. After the X-FI the game is an audio experience also.
I would recommend a upgrade to X-FI from integrated one's for everyone. Even if you have 2 speakers as I do.
