    Low 3DMark05 on GTX 256MB

Ok, I just installed my new watercooling kit and reformatted my HD. Installed WinXP Prof. SP2 with forceware 81.98 drivers. Temps on idle for both cpu/gpu is 28C and full load @ 34C. But my 3DMark05 score sucks @ 7600. any suggestions? oh yah DV8, will post pics on the watercooling!

Good, was afraid I'd have to come kick your ass. I'm assuming all chipset drivers are correctly installed? Version 6.7? It could be the GFXdrivers, however my 7800gt scored highest with the 81.98s.

get the nesest chipset drivers, i know it wont make much a difference, but they are better. i think its 6.66 i think, not sure. But I would recommend doing that.

Nice! Can't wait to see them. What was your total cost of the conversion?

Will post pics later but trying to get my GTX to score right.

Ouch, that's a pretty penny! I'm looking for my new WC setup, just getting ideas. I think my max will be $200 for CPU only. I'll move this KIT ( yes Lil Jimmy, I know it makes you cringe, LOL) to my secondary rig. But I still am thoroughly pleased with this $100 kit.

For a standard GTX , with the 4000+ also stock , this score is perfectly normal .

there isn't a problem at all with this score , only GTX card sho score higher are those who have a higher clock , simple as that, or have a faster CPU .

                          I have 8600 3Dmark05 points , but my 7800GTX runs at 500/1350 , and my 4000+ runs at 2.6 .

You should pass the 10.000 with that system. Good memory, good soundcard, good harddrive, good CPU together with the GTX always passes the 10.000. Perhaps you should look into strange background applications, or better do a reformat and install it all in decent order with proper drivers.
