OK I am building a backup computer for myself that I will use for like Lan Party or just taking to a friends house I dont wanna carry mine around lol to get to my point I was wondering how would an ATI X800 GTO for BF2 only at the present time the specs are

Abit Fatal1ty yes another one
AMD 64 3500+
1gig XMS ram
X800gto or X700 pro
36gig raptor NOTICE this will be only for BF2 lol and maybe one or 2 other games in the future this is not my main computer in my sig it is my main

I know the card will perform decent just wondering if anyone has close specs and how it perform FPS wise

NOTE I HAVE looked around but I have not found any hard info on this card so dont flame me if u dont have any info that may help me dont post

First thing, don't get that hd, get a different with a 16mb cache, as that raptor is too old and slow. As for the graphics card, I don't know, but it shouldn't be too bad.

get the x800gto. that will fit ur needs and i had the x800xl and it played it just fine. personally i wuld get that raptor, i dont see wats wrong wit it, if all ur storing is games and u want somthing fast

But it's not that fast anymore, and you can get drives that are just as fast with more storage for the same price.

Well I already have all these parts from a previous build I just need to buy a Vid card and I will be set so what card do yall think I should go with the X800GTO?

If you can, look for a gto2, which is supposed to unlock and overclock extremely well.

Newegg has them and there is also an X800GTO 16 witch has the 16 pipes unlocked its like 175 so i may get it

If you get a Raptor get a 74GB not a 36. Secondly, unless you're partial to ATI go Nvidia so you can upgrade into SLi later in the game.

Well I already ahve the 36 gig raptor from a previous computer I am going to go with the Sapphire X800GTO fireblade RETAIL from newegg.com 130bux just see how it works if it doesnt work to well i got a 6600gt sitting around somewere i may try but im more of an ATI freak lol I had bad experiances with 6800ultras i spent almost 950 bux on 2 of them and turned out my single X800XT got about 700+ more in 3dmarks05 the score then was around 8200 or so with the X800XT and aroudn 7700 with the 6800ultras then i sold the 2 ultras to some random dude at a lan party for about 40 bux more then i paid originally and bought an X1800XT 512MB DDR3 and i got 9000 even on 3dmarks05
