    Greetings

    Hey All,

New to the forum, so thought I'd take this oppo to say hi to fellow BF2 fans (including those "special" forces!)

Thoroughly enjoying Special Forces, can see it being a long-lived and much played game.

Here's a clever way of ensuring your VOIP (chat) remains crystal clear and distinct, which is handy when you're tryingto talk to your teammates via Skype or similar, but they keep getting drowned out by the ambient sounds of the game....

Your mobo has, most likely, got on-board sound, right? But you use a soundcard to power your 7.1/ 5.1's right? How about you plug your headset into the on-board sound and set your prefered playback device etc in Skype to be the on-board option. Bingo, sperate channels, crisp, clean and consistant sound. Doesn't even go squelchy when loading a game. You can set the volume independantly of BF2. My mates and I have been testing this over the last few days, and are happy to report that we've found no problems yet. It doesn't seem to interfere with any other programs or hardware. You could also use a set of 2.0 desktop speakers rather than earphones, if you like. It's the principle of it that we like!!

Happy gaming, and hope to see you on a ranked server sometime soon - I'll be the medic saving yo shot-up ass!!
