has been done many many times, most guys just use an aquarium for stuff like this .

Only thing Toms guys aren't mentioning , is after a year or so, because the oil is exposed to air, heat, ... the oil realy starts to smell .

very nice idea and very cool but, i would not wanna have to deal with all that oil if it some how spilled all over the place, and i am pretty sure the oil would start to smell after a while.

Im pretty happy with air cooling.

when i wake up in the morining and check my CPU temps, i have seen it as low as 62F :)

There are better chemicals than oil for this sort of thing. We submerge boards in this fluid here at work for very high voltage testing (10,000V), it is a much better insulator than air and it is clear and odorless. Cant remember the name of it, probably expensive.
