    Building your own

    Hi there

I was thinking about getting a new pc and i was just wondering is it very hard to build your own computer and buy the parts seperately? I mean is it something that you can learn over the internet :)

Once you have built 1 and got it to boot first time you will be quite " chuffed " . Yes you can find help over the net . First you need to decide what hardware your gonna use , again use the net to search for reviews on each individual piece of hardware then choose what you need / require . Putting it all together is not that hard , its basicaly a ( if your old enough to remember ) Mecano set ! .

Okay, I had a dell. I upgraded it a few times, fidled around with it. And then went and built my own cause the dell sucked. All I knew was from experience and decided to wing it. Of coruse there were a few things I didnt know that my friend helped me out with but other than that, I did it myself and it was not hard at all. Just dont drop anything

There are plenty of guides out there, just use google.

Make sure you thoroughly(sp?) research your parts and their prices, to make sure your getting the right stuff for your money, and to make sure that they all will work with each other.

            Good luck!

Make sure you ground yourself first before touching any of the pieces of hardware! Just a tip

It can also work out nicely if you try ringing up a small company that normally makes the pc's and delivers them for you they can then tell you what works together well within your price range (play along to make it seem like you want top buy the pre-made one off them) then once you have all the info you need, what all the components will be, go out and buy those components and just say that you changed you mind, or found better elsewhere. Lol.. it worked wonders for me. :p
