You will gain little to no performance compared to value ram in a game. If you are a hard core benchmarker you may see a little gain. The lowest cas for 1Gb PC3200 is 2-3-2-5, and the ones you listed are close behind it.

You might be able to see a difference in games if you really look for it. The most noticable difference in RAM is probably dual channel and single channel. The XMS series overclocks way better than value stuff, which you can just barely OC at all due to it's lack of heatspreaders.

So if you like pushing your hardware to it's max, get the XMS. If you just want the brute force of more RAM for a low cost, get the value RAM.

There would be very little performance difference between that and the value stuff, so unless you are going to oc, just go value.

I've had a few diff types of generic and value. Both are very similar. However, generic and value, can be overclocked and some do it better than other's. But the XMS are notorious excellent overclockers for the money. It is high quality, excellent all-around ram.

I have XMS, the same type your asking about, I highly recommend it for a few reasons, 1. overclockable 2. they look super cool 3. make you have a big e-penis compared to people with valueselect. My 1.5gig works awesome for me, and Im going to order one more stick this week for 2gigs dual channel.

only problem is if i decide to overclock my 3800+ i will get a poor overclock right???

i was just using dabs to show the product

i buy from scan or microdirect because they are close to where i live so i dont have to pay postage

ive got another question how much better overclocking from my processor would i get if i added copper heatspreaders to my value ram

Memory heatspreaders are more gimmick and show than function. I've never had it actually help an overclock. Usually the ram I buy comes with heatspreaders already.
