Have you sampled the BOSE headphones?? they are extremely expensive for gaming, but they are sooooooo comfortable and very clear...but personally unless you can spare that amount of money without breaking the bank..get something cheaper.

look at these i have a pair and am very happy with the quality on a Audigy 2 ZS, im going to upgrade to a fatal1ty XFI soon so imagine they will be sound even better, probably not as crisp as sennhieser but i think surround is more important.

heard these are good too and come in USB and 3.5 jack form

look for medusa 5.1 headphones in multimedia

tho how the USB version work with the Xfi im not sure as they dont plug direct into the card, maybe someone can enlighten me.

I tried the Zalmans (borrowed from a friend) and I wasn't impressed by the sound quality. I compared them to the Plantronic Audio 90. The sound was much more crisp with the Plantronics, whereas the Zalmans were muffled. I was impressed with the virtual surround of the X-Fi card with the stereo headphones, it seemed to be as good as the Zalman surround. Because of these observations, I returned the Plantronics and purchased the Sennheiser 150 (better quality than Plantronics) from New Egg (arrive today). I think difference between surround headphones and stereo headphones with virtual surround is minimal because of the physical proximity of the speakers to the ear. The difference is more in favor of stand alone surround speakers when compared to stereo speakers. I think this a limitation of the ability of the human ear to spatially encode sound, there is less difference between sounds coming from close speakers than if they were farther away.

Creative dude said it will sound good with anything, even earbudes, i have a $20 Logitec Headset/Mic, noise cancelling too, and it sounds great already with my audigy, cant wait to test it on my xFi when it gets here
