    Hey mate,

I'm enjoying my XiFi Music with a Sennheiser HD457, costed me about 60$. Great quality, and superb surround sound effects when in headphone mode. Give them a try. You will love them. Sweet price, sweet quality. That's how I would rate it.

    Cheers

I seem to have a problem NO ONE has here. I popped in an xfi and my performance in BF2 (FPS wise) has decreased dramatically. Ive updated the drivers and everything but I believe I have lost 30 fps. Can anyone help me out?

What are you running in the background?

And, did you choose Creative Mode in game settings, and Game Mode on Audio Console?

Did you also install all downloads in the creative website?

                    Did you install Openal update?

                    Oh yea also do this

                    Control Panel>Sound and Audio Devices

Under Speaker Settings click Advance and choose Performance Tab

And choose the Hardware Acceleration to a the one after None.

Hope that helps try that out if not try putting it to none.

Hmm basic actualy worked best for, still uses the card but only when it needs...

Did you try reinstalling BF2 or doing a fresh install?

Did you also uninstall all previous drivers or when doing a reinstall did you use a driver cleaner?

                              1) I have reinstalled BF2 completely
                              2) I uninstalled the WHOLE sound card (everything) and then ran driver cleaner.

I am completely stumped right now.

EDIT: Game plays PERFECTLY on HARDWARE and HIGH settings all the features turned off in the GAME MODE console.
Game plays perfectly also with Creative X-fi on HIGH settings BUT with CMSS-3D DISBLAED completely.
