I am getting 5kb/s with bittorrent........can someone help me? I also get 10kb/s when downloading with FireFox. I have a cable connection, and a good network card......anyone care to help? My page loads are also quite slow compared to what it was like when I first got my computer. This has been plauging me forever........I even reformatted before, and it did not let me delete the file, so I kept it and it stayed at the same speed. I even bought a new network card to try and solve the problem. When I first bought my computer I think I was getting 100kb/s. If you need info on my system just tell me where to go.

Doesn't belong in Hardware, butttt...I'm thinking it might be a Router. The Firewall is what usually eats the speed. And most routers have firewalls so... -

I don't have a router, this is the only computer I have. I don't think its the firewall, I mean a firewall can't decrease speeds by 90mb can it? Any more suggestions?Comment

Scan for spyware/adware using free spybot and/or ad-aware. also make sure your anti-virus is up to date.
Also make sure your os is up to date using Microsoft update.
If all else fails, then a complete os reload is in order, not sure what you meant by the re-formatted comment you made.
