Ugly texture, cant get internet connection, and drivers

i can play the game on high. But when it comes to the games textures it seems to lack a lot. It is no where near what I seen in the pictures.


I have two more questions.

1. I just set up my new pc. Everything worked fine. I turned it on and I downloaded firefox and the internet was running fine with no problems. Then I go to update my drivers so I uninstall my old drivers and restart and now I can't connect to the internet. I did a system restore where the old drivers are still on and i still cant connect. The only connect I get is one from my wireless card and I don't have a wireless connection so I am getting it from somewhere near by but the signal is so weak I cant connect to any websites I go to make a new internet connection, one not being wireless but when I click finish it doesn't appear in the network options.

2. If I wanted to update my video card drivers would I download the driver in the geforce and tnt2 section?

texture problem? either the graphics hit from 1.12, and your noticing more than others, or there is somethiing wrong, i dont know.

second question. I had this same exact problem when I uninstalled my drivers, and the internet did not work, installing the new drivers even didnt help. I do not know why it did this, but I system restored to the latest point with the old drivers (make sure you did it right, and you didnt restore back to your uninstallation of them). Then my problem was fixed. Now when i install the new drivers, i dont uninstall the old ones, I just open the new ones and it auto overwrites the old ones, and my internet works, try system restore again. Also it seems to only do this with certain drivers...

I had to install the dics that came with my computer for my motherboard. Why the computer didn't come with ethernet drivers to begin with, I don't know.

I will post a pic of my textures later. I was not using 1.12 because I couldn't update it because I had no internet connection.

the reason your computer didnt come with them already is because they go on your hard drive. Each motherboard has different needs, so windows cant be the one to install it, because every single windows is the same. it cant come on the motherboard, because it just doesnt work like that and the mobo has no memory. so it goes on the hard drive, thats why you have to install it after everything. I would also suggest getting the latest chipset drivers, find your motherboards homepage and find the latest ethernet, lan, audio etc. it may help.the ones that come with the mobo are usually old.
