No videos or freeze!

It's really getting annoying . Everytime I try to watch a video no matter where or what it is if it's at big-boys, compfused, on the hard drive, etc. I can't watch it! It says opening media and is lagging and then my computer totally stops responding ALT - CTRL - DEL does nothing at all, so I end up shutting the comp of by the power switch . Is there some video thing that I should install for my video card? It only started after I got my 6600gt and with the celeron the comp would only lag up a bit so I could easily ALT - CTRL -DEL and end the process, but with the new processor total lag! So what should I do?

I was having the same-ish kind of problem. It was with an older FX5200 though. I switched that out and got a 6600GT and everything runs perfectly. Check if your videocard is too dirty. Or take it out, blow into the AGP/PCI-E slot to remove any dust that might be there.

Not sure if this is even a hardware problem though.
