Would you buy this (in my circumstances)

Would you buy this: an Asrock 939DUAL-SATA2

It has an agp x8 and a pci-e connector so I dont have to go and buy a new card since i have agp, and on my limited budget I cant afford to buy a pcie card, so in the future I would be able to upgrade to pcie. I dont expect amazing performance.

The only problem is I have an old ATA-100 hdd, and I have no intentions of upgrading in that area at the moment, but will a ATA-100 cable work with a ATA-133 ide slot? Is it just like Agp 4x and 8x where the slot is the same but the bus speeds are faster?

I hope to get some good replies, thanks

    Think so,

That is a great board for the price.

If the ATA cables don't work, you can get adapters.

As for the ASRock Dual, excellent motherboard. As far as overclocking goes, it rivals the DFIs and MSIs.

I wish I had it, I really do

your old HD can be put onto that mobo , don't understand exactly what you are saying here, but I am shure it will work .

you have or IDE , that mobo has IDE , or SATA , and SATA is SATA , you can put a SATA 2 into a SATA and you can put a SATA into a SATA 2
