No way. Hardly any difference at all, just overclock you GT to ultra speeds and whahey! you have a ultra.

ULTRA's also have bigger/louder fans.. least they did on the AGP version. I'd say go for 6800GT or 7800GT. And that's coming from a 7800gtx owner.
