A new 6800GT from old X700: Will there be BIG changes?

I currently have a Radeon X700 (sig for more spec) and I'm getting a new 6800GT on Friday (Thursday for America). I currently have some lag issues when the game ould studder when things got heavy. Will the 6800GT fix this problem? Will my game be smoother or will it just have prettier pictures?

Prettier pictures and smoother gameply. 6800GT is a great card.

You will get pretty pictures and a bit smoother gameplay. But if you plan on playing all high and no studder, get 2 gigs.

Not yet. It works and I'm lazy. I'm planning on changing it when my new ram comes in.

Ill buy another GB of RAM in the future I just need to save more. Im glad to hear that the 6800GT will actually smoothen it out even a LITTLE.

The 6800GT is a great card and it will def help with smoother game pla and if/when you get another Gig of RAM you should be able top play all high with out much/any lag at all. So the best of both worlds.
