Yet ANOTHER RAM QUESTION...

I've decided to do somethign about my mix and match RAM. I have two options, one slightly less expensive than the other:

1- Buy two more sticks of the Kingston Value RAM so I have all four matching

or

2- Scrap all four sticks and pick up 2 1GB sticks of something a little higehr quality.

The way I see it, it's about a $125 swing price wise, but I am unsure if I'll gain that much performance wise by lowering latency.

What would you do?

If they are all Corsair modules, contact Corsair, they will replace them with matching TwinX tested modules.

2 1gb is definitley the way to go, leaves room to upgrade and a lot of motherboards have 4 ports for memory but the last two aren't used correctly or something and don't give that much more to mem anyways.

Well i would get the 2gig on two sticks if you can sell your current memory, if not, then just fill up the mobo with two more 512

fill it up with 2 more 512mb stick of kingston value i have 4x512mb sometimes it iven loads bf2 before faster then my friend that has 2x1gb of OCZ platiume.....

Mind you there is a slight down side to using 4 sticks with an AMD, which is it uses 2T instead of 1T. The performance drop isn't much, but its still there. i would say go for the 2x1Gig sticks.
