    Hard Drive Compatability Question

I just bought the Western Digital 250GB Internal Hard Drive for when I build my computer in the summer.

Get our Low Price Guarantee, online or in store, on a huge selection of electronics, appliances, furniture, fitness, travel, baby products and more!

I noticed that it is EIDE format so does that mean I can't hook it up to the motherboard im most likely going to get (Asus A8N-SLI Premium) or does it support it

    Help is greatly appretiated!

    Thanks

    Re: Hard Drive Compatability Question

EIDE is the same thing as IDE. It will work just fine.

        Re: Hard Drive Compatability Question

As long as the mobo has IDE ports.
Why are you buying IDE instead of SATA when it looks like you are going for a pretty good gaming rig?

          Re: Hard Drive Compatability Question

every mobo has IDE ports, every mobo will support this HD .

however , it is possible, depending on the age of your bios, that your mobo only sees 138Gb instead of 250Gb .
