Low Spec System playability for BF2

Ello.

I should be getting a new system in a few weeks as i spent all my xmas money on other things and this is all i could get with the rest.

AMD Athlon 2600+ XP Barton

1GB PC3200 RAM

ATi X700 256MB DDR2,Overclocked GPU to 425(That of a x700PRO).

Will i be able to run BF2 with around 40-60 fps on these settings...

800X600 OR 1024X768
High Sound
Med everything apart from shadows and lighting,which will be off.

That system is 2 times better than mine, except for the XP2800.

That processor is fine if you want to run the game at medium or low detail. That X700 and a gig of ram will let you run the game at 1024 x 800 med-low settings.
Use software sound and set to medium sound detail, since you don't have a sound card made by Creative.

one tip make sure you buy mobos and PSU's that will be able to cope with upgrades in the futer if you want to!

Ok lol,i have a Creative sound card,its a Soundblaster Live!.

As for the high resolutions,sod that,i only want 800x600.

You're fine, esp at 800x600. Medium settings mostly I guess and maybe 2xAA
