well, im not really going after it for the performance boost, i want it for the fact it can overclock well, compared to the x800xl, i have a very cool system, yet i cant bring my x800xl past 430 core.

Seriously? Look at my sig, i got mine to 450/1100 but not on BF2, bf2 dont like overclock. Anyways, i wouldn't do it, do u have PCI-e, cause if u do, get a 7800GT, they're at like 290 bucks and they own the X850XTPE.

well, i Can push my x800 past 430, but ati tool wont run without artifacts for a half hour to my likings. it goes for a bout twenty minutes at 55 c and then it starts artifacting. i can put it all the up to 440 for bf2, but i get random black screens.

I agree not worth it. I have an X850XT PE with a ArticCooling ATI Silencer on it.

I can OC it quite a bit actually. From the stock 540 core / 590 memory, to 580 core / 617 memory.

get a 7800GT. for like 300, from eVGA. Its quite good.

im assuming AGP cuz the PCI-E X850s are like under 250 dollars and he said he found one for 330

the major difference between x800xl and x850xt is that the x850xt sucks and the the x800xl sucks even more. get an nvidia card instead... :-)

Dude, they don't suck, the X850XT is still the best AGP card out there, and the X800XL was a great value until the 6800GT dropped price from 400bucks, to 300 bucks.
