Microphone Problem?
When playing BF2 i can hear people speaking over the mic when im in their squad but when i press B and ask them if they can hear me they say nothing...its like thy cnt hear me? is it just me or r they being f***? id like this to work so i can communicate with my squad better especially if im a leader. what should my settings be in the audio panel?

Can you see the green icon appear when you press the B button?
If so, alt-tab out of the game and check your windows mixer (sndvol32.exe). Ensure that mic is selected in the recording section and that the volume is all the way up and the mic boost is selected. -

ok cool so i fixed the "audio input" where MIC was at and i turned the volume all the way up. it was only 1/4 the total volume so i hope that fixed it ill check it in a while thx for the help.Comment

It doesn't seem to work for everybody, but it works for me.
BF2 majorly messes with your mixer settings as soon as you load a map.
But don't forget the '+20 dB microphone boost' by clicking the 'Advanced' button under the microphone input volume slider.Comment

i did the microphone testing wizard and it seems to work but i didnt do this while playing BF2....will BF2 mess it all up again once i load a map?Comment

Yup. It will. That's what you have to Alt-Tab out while in-game.Comment
