ARGH! Which Monitor To Buy???

Stupid monitors ... I hate them ... they cost so much money and they arent even the most vital part of the ocmputer ... a typical monitor costs as much as the processor, which is like the windshield of a car costing \as much as the engine -.- ... anyway now that i got that out ...

I need help ... If what I believe is right ... all monitors do the same thing ... they simply display what the processor tells them SO the cheap@$$ monitors simply do not have all the fancy features as the $$$$ pricy ones... am i right? If so, this monitor should play bf2 fine on med/high settings ...

do tell me if im wrong cuz i gotta buy this soon but i figured i could do without a few extra features like digital contrast/ brightness in order to further upgrade what really counts ... if im wrong then i guess ill have to waste my money :hmm:

All monitors do not do the same thing. More expensive ones offer higher refresh rates which are eaiser on the eyes. That particulat monitor has a .25mm dot pitch which isn't good, it won't give you as sharp a picture as a better one.

60 bucks is not bad! You should check out the manufacturers website to see what kind of refresh rates that monitor can handle at diff. resolutions. You are going to want at least 75hz at whatever resolution you game at.

okay all ... listen to this ... this manufactur has no website (that i can find) ffs! right ... so i need to know this , what is a good dot pitch to have for a monitor?

It would be horrible, unless your TV has HDI or DVI inputs. As far as dot pitch the lower the better. I have a Samsung CRT that is .19 which is crisp as hell. Anything around .19, .20, .21 should be good.

75Hz @ 1024*768 is the bare minumin you should look for.
