Are you using the latest X-Fi drivers from Creative's site?

Hardware. Running on software disables most of the advanced features.

I found out that running on ultra high for me i lag like crazy. So i switched back to high and now runs fine.

Right now i use creative X-FI and ultra high as sound choices. Running on high the game sounds are not to my liking.

When I switched from my Audigy (Hardware/High) to my X-Fi XtremeMusic (X-Fi/UltraHigh) I saw no performance drop.

Yah I have an X-Fi FPS Fatal1ty and I love it. I run everything on high, and wowzahs. My sound is crystal clear. My friend has been using onboard so I gave in an Audigy2 I had laying around, he heard my X-fi and is probably going to pick one up.

The X-Fi series of sound cards is the best in sound right now. Makes BF2 sound so real.
