Re: New X-FI Sound Card
I've had this problem before but with a 2ZS card. I forget why, but try uninstalling TS and reinstalling it. I think it has something to do with the codecs, but don't hold me to it.

Re: New X-FI Sound Card
I was also lucky enough to recieve a Creative X-Fi Xtreme Music for Christmas, I've set it up and it works wonderfully :). However I was interested to see that in the Audio options I have a choice of selecting between running sound in Hardware mode or X-Fi mode, both with ultra high settings. I have tried both of these and can't really notice a difference in quality between the 2. Should there be a difference?

Re: New X-FI Sound Card
I use creative HS-600 headphones. Surely they are good enough to appreciate the effects? maybe I need to go back and test the 2 modes again :P
EDIT - Ok, after testing both modes back-to-back I have noticed that the X-Fi mode does sound better, but I also noticed that when using that mode I suffer from more fps drops and more sluggish play. The change isn't considerable but its definatly noticable. Is there any reason for this?

Re: New X-FI Sound Card
Are you using the latest X-Fi drivers from Creative's site?
