6800xt 256mb in SLI

Before you tell me to go buy 2 7800s just read this. I have a computer with a 6800xt 256mb video card. The motherboard is already SLI ready. Would 2 6800xt 256mb be good? Or should I just buy a single $200 video card and wait a little while before buying that same card for sli?

2 Xt's would be pretty good in SLi. But I would probably go the extra mile and get like a 7800gt for 300$, take out the current XT and then get another GT later. 2 6800xt's is pretty close to a single 7800gt.

I would expect a single 7800GT to be a bit better than 2 6800XTs. Thats $100 more though, so you should go with another 6800XT.

Though a 6800GS would be an excellent idea as well. $205 and much much better performance than a 6800XT. You can SLI that later, also. And in the meantime, you would have a much better card.

Ya, 6800GS is owning the mainstream section now, it's cheaper, newer, and better than it's predecessor, teh 6800GT. The 6800GS is a good investment.
