Temperature for your video card?

hi i got a 7800 gt, and it says its temperature is 45 C.

is that bad?/good?/average

if its bad, how can i help this?



note: i did automatically overclock thingie, and did that 1 guys how to overclock your nviodia guide

Sounds fine to me.

My 6800GT idles at 54 C.

another question on overclocking.

i have an amd 3200 venice that came running at 2 gighrtz

i wanna over clock to the best i can (safely)

would 2.1 gigahrttz be much of a difference, would it be to risky?

also, what should my frequency be. it starts at 200. what should i put it to.


also it says my pci-e clock is 100, should i overclock that as well?

i use the nvdida display or something like that

nVidia's control panel applet has a built-in temperature monitor.

Older models do not have the hardware sensor though and therefore do not have the option.

My vanilla 6800 idle's at about 50, on air cooling.

Also, you should think about manually OC'ing your card, the automatic option in the nVidia control panel sucks.

Just do a google search for 'Overclocking nVidia cards'.

My 7800 is 33 ilde, 45 under full load.

And to answer your other questions.

You would not notice a diffrence from 2.0 to 2.1.

Your frequency depends on what you want to overclock it to and the multiplier. (Read the guides I posted)

Only overclock the PCI-e bus if you want to damage your card.

hmm i have a 5700 and i cant find the check ur temps. can u tell me exactly where i can find it(i noe the nvidia control display) but where. and if there is somewhere else i can find to check the temps at.

Your card may not have a temp sensor. Not all of them do.
