i was looking around to find why i was getting 25-60fps on cod2 and i found this article

they had an fx-57 a 7800gtx and 2gb of gaming ram and they could only mange 32fps 1280x1024

sli is the only way to get around 70fps it cant keep going on like this soon we will all be playing 800x600

I have a 4000+ in combination with a 7800GTX , both overclocked, in vanilla BF2 I constantly get 50-100FPS wich average of 70-80 .

In SF I have 40-100FPS , average is more 40-50Fps .

I play on 1240*1024 everytinhg full AA4x AAF 16x
