I want to know which vid card would play bf2 and sf on high with high frames and wouldn't cost a fortune

XFX 7800GT bought it for less than $300 with 4 games including COD2 and FarCry. What better than that... I also have an average FPS of 88 - 99 Simply amazing and the IQ rocks. Check out NewEgg and ZipZoomFly for prices.

well it really depends on how much u wanna spend. if u dont really have a budget or u have a really high one get the 7800gtx 512mb, if u can find it. if not i wuld stick wit the 7800gt.

u guys think that i should downgrade from a X2 3800+ to a 3500+ or something to get the 512 7800GTX. and whats the differnce between the X2 3800+ and the X2 4200+. cause i'm thinking in buying one

The 3800+ runs at 2.0GHz, while the 4200+ runs at 2.2GHz.

I'd actually pick a 4000+ single-core San Diego (or a socket 939 Opteron, if I could even find one) over both, but that's your choice to make.
