Then he has to get a PSU. Just get a PSU and another gig of ram, then spend some money on the next gen video card when they arrive.

There's no way you'll run a 7800GT on a 300Watt, even if its from PC&P. It needs both power and amps and that is 400 watts and 26A on the 12v line.

I say, grab the ram and PSU, then save up for a video card, so you can take advantage without being underpowered or bottlenecked (too badly that is).

OH. If you'll willing to watch, nVidia and ATI are releasing new cards very soon so thats something to keep an eye on. 7600's/7200's are on the horizen and may be easier on the money for some.

So if i get the geforce 7800 do I also need a new power supply? Also I have noticed that all of the 7800's are PCI express. i dont think i have any pci slots. Are there any agp 7800's?

#1: Yes, you will need a new psu, and
#2: No, there are no 7800 agp cards out.

if you get that video card i can almost guarrante from your specs you will also need a new power supply and a new psu.....7800gt =300$ + power supply = 80$ + Psu= depends...

I would say go for the video card fo sure! but your gonna pay more then you think!...

So ram is also great 2 and its only 80$... Really up to you..

Reasons for not getting a 7800GT:

                You'll need a new PSU.
You'll still be bottlenecked by future games requiring 1.5+ Gigs of Ram.

Get Ram and a PSU, then worry about the video card.

nah RAM the x700 will do.

as youll upgrade you Graphics and itll play all choppy on high settings till i bought 2gb

I did the same upgrade as but with my 7800gtx and i had to run it on the x700 settings as it was so bad to play till i got 2gb of ram. Now it plays on ultra high

why not a 6800 gs, 512 more ram and a psu!!

then u can get all 3 for the price of a 7800 gt
