6800 (vanilla) problems

Ok I have an evga 6800 (vanilla) agp. I got it a little while ago, and wast really impressed with its proformance in Battlefield 2. I have narrowed down the problem to two causes (ithink)

1) I used pci drivers for the agp slot because it stops this BSOD error (infinite loop) that is really annoying. However, i don't know it this is effecting the proformance, and am wondering if anyone has had any experience with this.

2) My PSU is 400w, but thats about all i can tell you about it. I'm pretty sure it came with my case, which was bought from some obsucre manufacturer call lct tech (http://www.lct-tech.com/flash.html). Is it possible that my PSU isn't powerful enough and i should get a new one?

P.S. i can't play bf2 on medium, and even with only terrian, geometry, lighting, and effects on medium i can't get acceptable framrates (above 25)

1. Not sure.

2. I've got a 350W PSU, and it's runs fine.

P.S. I have the same card, except 256mb, and I run fine with everything High, 2 AA, 1280 by 1204 with lightning, shoadows, dynamic stuff and texture filteing on medium.

ya, the 256mb makes a big differnece...

yeah i run the game with every single setting in the game maxed out except for ultra high in the sound setting. Otherwise everythings maxed and i have 50 bots with an average range of 50-60 fps. It could be because of your vRAM, because i have 256MB. If not that, then your card is not your problem.
