Thsi is a joke

Everytime i run bf2 and play the game online it crashes to the desktop and then my pc resets and resets over and over again.I did a virus scan and spyware but i dont know what to do.

This happens on every game

Pc specs :

Ati radeon 9800 pro
1GB Ram
AMD athlon(tm) XP 3000+
2.16 GHZ

Is your CPU or GPU overclocked?

So you've NEVER been able to play BF2 properly?

This has just started today and iam sure it has something to do with the ram i just bought for it 2 weeks ago.:|:

Ok..you COULD have mentioned that earlier

Are you sure:
#1. the RAM works
#2. you have your BIOS setup properly to handle the RAM

Take the RAM out and see if BF2 works.

I was thinking if the RAM was working for 2 weeks No problem why would it start playing up now.

The power supply and most of the pc is kinda dusty would this affect the pc resetting.

Run MemTest86 for a few hours see if you get any errors, that will tell you if your RAM is working or not.

It would as dust can lead to overheating issues which can sound like what you're describing.

Get some compressed air and go to town and to a full on cleanout job on your PC.

Read your motherboard manual for info about any BIOS settings pertaining to RAM.

What type/speed are all of your RAM sticks? Are they the same speed/manufacturer or are they different?

I doubt this is caused by BF2 itself so, moving to Hardware.

Oh my Bobsonator...

Before you do that, lol, install your videocard drivers. Happened to a friend, he hadn't installed his 6600GT drivers (the ones that come with BF2 don't work for some people).
