I need a good pad to go along with my Razer Copperhead, I might get the Func1030, but only the smooth side works on it. I really wouldn't want to spend over 25 bucks. Those of you with G5s, G7s, and copperheads, what do you use?

I use func's newer F-series, as I heard it works out better for laser mouses. Then again, I use a Logitech G5 so...

Re: Best mousepad for laser mice?
I've got the Logitech MX-518 gaming mouse, and am using an Icemat. I went with the Icemat first edition, as the second edition is way too big for my liking.
The Icemat is a mousepad made of glass and teflon, which gives awesome precision and motion.
Make sure you get Glidez aswell, that's a type of teflon tape which you attach to the underside of your mouse.
Unrivalled accuracy and comfort! :)

LOL...You too. I need to do the same. This has been on the back buner for PC upgrading. I use the Razor Copperhead mouse. That Icemate sounds nice. Might check that out.Originally posted by TalusI just use a crappy old mousepad I got free with my computer order YEARS ago...I guess I should upgrade, huh?

Do NOT get the icemat bro, that only works for optical mice, it has several problems with laser mice because it splits the spectrum like a prism.
Also textured pads don't work with laser mice either. I've been looking at func's new F-series also, but newegg is out of stock on all func pads. Steelpads are too expensive for me.

Re: Best mousepad for laser mice?
My wife bought me an Allsop PC Gamer Mousepad for Christmas (man..I'm SOOOOOOOO surprised that she did) and what a HUGE difference it has made.
Sure, it may be a no-name brand and I'm sure it was cheap...but MAN what a difference.
I can't believe what an idiot I've been all these years
