Mixing types with dual monitors

I have a 7800GT, and am currently using a LCD. I have my old CRT and want to run it also for BF2cc, and Teamspeak windows while in game.

Does anyone have any experiance mixing both types of monitor? Did you have any issues? I have been told that it should be fine, but I am curious about excess work for the card, and how it may effect game play.

It should work fine. Just keep in mind that you can't access the secondary app while in BF2. If you do, it's like ALT-Tab'ing out of BF2. Otherwise it'll work fine. I use a 17" LCD and a 17" CRT without any performance issues. Though sometimes I will disable the secondary monitor so it's not distracting.

I also have a 19" LCD(Viewsonic) and a 17" CRT(Dell), never had any problems other than I like to run my CRT at a lower resolution so the words are a little easier to read.

As for the extra work on the card, I'm not too sure but gameplay seems fine other than what peekj said about having to ALT-TAB to access those programs... You might be able to click on them but it dumped me out to the desktop and BF2 was minimized.

Yeah, just to agree with what everyone has said you shouldn't have any problems, I have my 19" LCD and 17" CRT and they play together nicely.

Oh yah? I have a 19" LCD, 21" CRT, and 27" TV. So boo-yah. And yes I can hook all 3 up at the same time.
