I take it your memory has to be able to OC too, since you are making the FSB higher?? cause i OC my 3.2 P4 and on the game only, it does somehting that is like two steps foward and one back tipe of thing. Not sure how to explain it. Thanks.

You can alter the Vcore voltage or change the multiplier too you know without altering the frontside bus speed. If the proc supports it.
Otherwise, yes, the memory needs to be OCable and the AGP card as higher FSB will alter the frequency of that too.

Before you go any farther, I suggest you find some advice on the entire process of OC'ing. If you raise the v-core too much you can make incredible heat and fry your processor. It is something that takes time and alot of patience.

Well i have a Gigabyte Mobo, and i was just using a utility that comes with it, and i notice that it raises the FSB and also the voltage i think, if i go above 3.6 i get reboot, and cpu is back to 3.2, i can go to like 3.5 but then on the game i get the 2 steps foward one back, i guess it is what people call CPU throtling????? Because my temps will actually be lower while on the game with the CPU OC, then at stock frequency.

That means it's unstable. You have to take your time with these things. Only go a little at a time, then test w/ Prime 95 or Sandra. If you can run the tests without stopping, it's stable.

First, find out if your CPU is locked or not. Some of them are locked, meaning you can't change the multiplier, so you must raise the FSB in order to OC. Raising the FSB has adverse effects on your entire system, not just your CPU and RAM.
If you've got an AGP graphics card, for instance, it can play with your AGP bus, pushing it too high. So in this case, you would make sure that your card can either take the stress, or you'd be rather limited in how much you can OC by raising the FSB. Many mobos lock the AGP bus, though, so then it would be ok.
So really, it depends a lot on your hardware. Look up your CPU, mobo, and RAM, get the specs on them all, such as how high they overclock, what voltages they'll take, etc, and then you can start to OC. Never attempt to try the highest OC you can find for your hardware right off the bat. Take it slow, adjust in small increments, and test however you see fit for stability every time you ramp it up.
