Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Clock frequences really don't matter, a 2.4 ghz AMD will knock out a 3.4ghz P4. The 2.8ghz normal intel P4 wouldn't be great but a dual core , should do you good.
Intel Dual Cores are crap. Unbelievebly bad crap. If AMD owns Intel's Single-cores, then AMD's Dual Cores decimate Intel's Dual Cores. You want to get a Dual-Core? Get the Athlon 64 X2 3800+. I can't even compare it to a Pentium-D, the P-Ds are so bad.

Um, a 1.8ghz AMD will knock out a 2.8ghz P4 lol. Anyways, the 3800+X2 is good if u want dual core

AMD dual cores dont decimate intel dual cores at all
an intel dual core 3.2 will beat the x2 3800+ at anything including games
The only thing is I might buy a pre-built one and the one with the x2 3800+ only supports only pci while the one with Intel Pentium D Processor 820, 2.8GHz supports pci-express x16.
AMD Dual Core is better....when searching for a CPU for my next PC I've gone to plenty of forums and read that Intel Dual Cores are not good and were released in haste.
Oh you've got to be kidding me. Yea, like Eddy said, thats a MAJOR bottleneck right there. I mean, you'd have to be blind not to see that. A 3.6Ghz prescott beating a FX-57 in Doom 3? BS. My god man, a FX-57 is like a 4.8GHz Pentium 4 in NORMAL tasks. If you were to give a FX-57 a Performance Rating (or Pentium-Rating) it would be like a Athlon 64 4800+ or something.
I hate Tom's Hardware anyways. I only trust Xbit Labs, [H]ardOCP, and Anandtech.
any reason to go with a single core rather then duel core at this point? im lookin around and CPUs, still unsure what i wanna get....shoudl i just go duel core cuz in the future more apps will take advantage of it?
