Best!! 2 X 512mb Ram????

Ok i just called my computer technicien hes a pro and hes my friend and he says mixing the ram comapany or value to a pro version of something like that does not decrease strengh only if you do something like 2x1 then 2x512...2x256mb 2x512....when you start mixing...

Right now i currently have 2x 512mb Kingston value....i think its good....never bought another kind then a value....so i am looking for the best of the best ram
512mb stick!..(am getthing 2x512mb more...)... i en't no overcloacker or nothing all i want is to clip it on and its works fast as lighthing....the price does not bug me just tell me number uno!

In my opinion, value ram is just fine for you. There really isn't much of a speed difference between XMS pro or any OCZ unless you OC it.

Looking at the rest of your specs, either just get another gig of value ram, or get a Creative X-FI xtreme music to match your logitech X530s

Already getthing it :p...i have a list of things am going to buy on x-mas vacation
but you sure about the value ram thing coz i heard different....if that the case its all the same tree...then am going for a 2 x 1gig....3gigs going to be very sweet.

Well, yeah, it is good to buy 2 of the same kind of ram, as u get the benefits of dual channel. And one question before i post links, what do u want, ram for overclocking, or do u just want high performance without overclocking? Um, just to tell u, the crucial ballistix timings are actualy 2-2-2-5, if u read the reviews u can see. ANyways, those are all good, i would say either the OCZ plat/gold or Crucial Ballistix are among the best.

BUt why get value, high performance is better. THe tighter timings (smaller numbers for timings) give ur pc better performance, and faster loading times. ANyways, EVERYTHING, i posted from my last post is high performance PC3200 ram.

As u can see, the OCZ Platnium is the best for Intel, but Crucial Ballistix ends up the winner in AMD (look at the second to last page for the evidence).

You see, the reason most of these appeal to people is because of the heatsink(usually copper casing over the mem chips) so the memory stays cool when you overclock it. These are not really noticibly faster then good value ram out of the box. Unneccessary for you.

Yeah, i agree, many people are like "omg, that ram looks so cool, that would look so cool inside my case which has a side panel window". Anyways, the tighter timings do provide better performance, but not significantly better, but still better. Anywyas, if i were u, since u don't wanna overclock, i'd try to get 2x1gb of ram (probalby gonna be value ram) cause 2gb will really help u with loading times, and fps in games etc.

just get two of those modules of ram, and u get dual channel 2gb of ram. And it's from a trusted company, that ram will be better than 1gb of high performance ram if u don't intend on overclocking.

Eddy, the ram you posted is pretty bad stuff. The brand is alright, but the timings are horrible, even for valueram.
I'd go with the following, 3380 people agree it's the best value RAM.

Also, AlphexHunter, I know it would sound cool to say you have 3gigs of RAM, but that's really overkill. 2 gig is perfect, and still not much of a difference over 1.5 gigs(atleast for me it wasn't). Another reason people like ram with heatsinks like eddy said it's because it looks cool. 3 gig may sound cool, but it would be stupid to waste the money.

Sorry if it sounds like I'm trying to shove my opinion down your throat, but I just like saving people money.

Don't do that, just save urself some money and only get 1 more gb. 3gb makes dual channel not work. Also, yea, i forgot to look at the 3-4-4-8 timings of that ram underpant, thanks for pointing out. ANyways, the ram u posted is a 2x512mb kit, then he needs 2 of those to get 2gb, and 4x512mb is not good. Alphex, just get another gig (not 2 gigs) of the ram u currently got, u save a lot of money, and u get good performance.

I disagree, 4x512 isn't too different from 2x1 unless you're overclocking. 2x512 corsair to suppliment his current 2x512 kingston would be fine, no loss of performance for less money. He will only need 1 2x512 kit to get to 2gb.
At the end of your post you told him to get another gig of what he has, and he currently has 2x512 kingston. So basically you're contradicting youself.
