Hi i recently just picked up a new video card (radeon x850) and im having nothing but grief.. there was a few things that went wrong but i thought i fixed it with windows update.. whenever i play a game, i'll play for a little while then zap.. my screen is filled with bars of all different colors.. can anyone help me? my msn is bretthiebert@hotmail.com if you could please possibly run me thru im in need here XD

Sounds like your card is overheating. Go download ATITOOL 0.24. You can see what your fan is spinning at, and adjust it if needed. The fans that go out with the cards are adequate at best. You may need to get an aftermarket fan, like the Artic Cooling silencer. I have 1 on an 850 pro and my 850xt pe and no issues. -

what kind of power supply unit do you have, your prolly not running enough watts for that beast. id say at least 400 watts or greater, im gettting the same problem from my 300 watter, and my x800xl, it cuts out and the psu gets quite hot. new case should be here ne minute now

Hey guys me again.. well, i installed the 450W power supply and still no go.. just a black screen i have no idea WTF is wrong im about to break this thing over my knee 
.. i got rid of all the drivers for my old geforce.. started in safe mode tried to put in the VGP driver.. says it can't find the hardware or software and which im trying to install it for.. but the card is clearly in there.. please help me guys im counting on you, best buys customer support is GARBAGE

Can you still play and does it do the same thing? Have you downloaded ATITOOL 0.24? Your power may have been an issue, but it wouldn't cause issues like these, it would cause random reboots.Comment
