Okay I'm making the switch from Intel to AMD and here is what the setup will be:

AMD AthlonX2 3800+
2GB OCZ DDR500 Gold
(2)WD Raptors 74GB [RAID-0]
DFI LanParty UT nF4 SLi-DR Motherboard
X850XT PE w/Artic Cooling
X-Fi FPS Fatal1ty
600 Watt OCZ SLi ready PSU

I'm getting the OCZ stuff direct from OCZ (I know a guy who works for them) for cheap, so the rest is all I'm really gonna have to buy retail. I'm also thinking about getting an after market cooler but I'm not sure which one I want to get yet.

The best CPU heatsink out right now is the scythe ninja if you have the room.

That system looks good, but I'd go looking around for a opteron 165, should be better. Plus, I've seen them for around 300 bucks.

well if ur planning on overclocking then u shuld upgrade ur cooling but if u wont be overclocking then dont both upgrading any cooling. also how much are u paying for that psu?

Its a good set up. Just look around HardOCP forums about a dual-core fix that I heard did help some games.

Yah I had two guys over at my house the other night during a lan who were running 3800X2s and they switch their affinity so that Windows and background processes used core1, and the game was using core2.
